Solenoid
is there a way to check a solenoid to see if its good off the cart I have one in my toolbox and was going to throe it out but I cant remember why I took it off

Check the voltage marked on the solenoid..then apply this voltage to the coil terminals (small terminals) at the same time put an ohmmeter across the large terminals...with no voltage supplied the ohmmeter should read infinity (high resistance)...when voltage is applied you hear click and ohmmeter goes to Zero...remember a solenoid is only a automatic switch..switch closes when voltage applied ..and switch opens when voltage removed
