Well, before we go jumping, this is a series cart, not sepex, right? That controller might be a "proper" knock-off, and you might be able to set the proper throttle type if you had access to a programmer and the info of what throttle type to set it to (key here). Those cheap "Curtis" controllers are a decent copy as far as I have seen (will continue to function even with some mosfets blown). I don't use them, because they suck in general, but, the "copy job" was a half-assed try at a copy. Seems like you might have a version set up for ITS, but you need 0-5k throttle. The throttle type may already exist in there just needing you to set it with the programmer.

If you do decide to return the Curtis knockoff controller and go with an Alltrax controller, you want a SR rather than a XCT.

Well I requested a return from the ebay seller so I will let you know how that turns out. If the return is accepted I will be buying an Alltrax from you Scotty which would be my first choice. If I am stuck with this controller I'll be looking for someone to check the programing of it. I called the local cart stores around with no success. Meanwhile I put the old controller back on and will deal with the weak take off until the answer to my return request comes. Thanks everyone for your help.
