Bought at 36v and want to know what I need to do to convert to 48v.
It's a 2007 TXT.

One of the last 36ers built - deserves an upgrade.
Is it Series drive with a shift lever down by the seat or PDS with the F&R switch on the dash?

Get yourself an Alltrax XCT400 and SW180 200a solenoid. Then you just need six 8v batteries and 48v charger with 18-20 amp output and a D plug to fit the cart.

Also note that unlike the SERIES motor the stock PDS motor sort of over works on 48v. It's happier and lives longer on 42v. This is sort of the sweet spot for this motor. Use 7/6v batteries

Aftermarket PDS motors like Admiral B2 or D2 or FSIP B3 all do very nice on 48v.
It's just the stock motor that takes a pounding.
I hope this helps

36v chargers can NOT charge 42v or 48v battery sets (that's why it's called a 36v charger, not a "magically charges everything" charger). New charger is a must.
