Default 2014 RXV- SOC meter to 0 quickly

2014 RXV bought new 10/14.
Usage- 2 miles per day plus golf 36 holes a week. Charged every day. Check/add water 1/month.
Symptoms- No problems until 10/17. Then wife said started feeling warm under passenger seat.
12/17- SOC meter would go to 0 within 1 mile but still drives for at least another 1-2 miles. Warning light in meter rarely lights up. Maximum speed seems slightly slower. Never had the nerve to see how far it would go before empty. If cart sits for 30 minutes, SOC goes back to full, but will go to 0 slightly sooner.
12/17- Took to EZGO dealer with charger. Explained problems. They tested batteries - more than 75% capacity left. Assume tested charger. Cleaned terminals. Said batteries should last for another year. No explanation for SOC gauge. Neighbors say dealer is worthless for repairs.
No change since. After reading this forum, I realize I don’t always hear solenoid click on acceleration.
I know I need new batteries soon. But could these problems be due to the solenoid or that the controller is overheating or something? I have had no experience with problems of electric motors. Thanks

It sounds like you are ready to start looking for a set of new batteries. You are not supposed to run the batteries down to under 50%. Every time that you do, you are shortening the life of your battery pack. 4 years of life from a set of 12V golf cart batteries is doing darned good! Have you checked the liquid level in the cells?
