Hello welcome to Buggies gone wild. The first thing I would check would be to be sure the go peddle is returning to the full up position. Jack the cart up rear wheels off the ground, pull the go peddle back by hand and try the key.

Did you check the linkage under the cart for any debris around the spring on the throttle box? Pull the floor mat up and inspect inside the throttle box, should be clean. I have a 97 txt and am only quessing yours is the same as mine. What year is your cart? PDS or DCS? Did the problem just start or where you doing some work on the cart?

you say when you put the key on it takes off. Slow med full throttle?

I don't know if you can edit the title of your post but if you can add key on takes off in the title it might get more interest.

It's a 97 PDS.. When I get home I will pull the floor mat back and check it out.. I used it on the beach this weekend so sand may have gotten into the throttle box.. When I turn the key on it is full throttle definitely.. lol... scared the crap out of me when it happened!!! thanks for the feedback and if I can edit the post I will just create another if I can't find the problem!!
