Bad solenoid can cause issues as well. when it dies see how hot the solenoid is. If it's too hot to touch it's no good.

Guessing what is wrong with a golf cart without making some voltage measurements when it is not working right is not a good way to make a good guess.

Ok so the batteries fully charged last about 5 min befor it won't go up a small hill. The positive wire from the from the solenoid gets warm but I can still touch it. The batteries still show a full charge and if I let it sit for a while it is fine for another five min or so?

What does the solenoid feel like once it dies? I'm not concerned about the wires.

Why don't you guys make some voltage measurements when the cart is dying and make a more informed guess? All the guesses are good though. Measure the battery voltage at the battery and the voltage on both sides of the big lugs on the solenoid when cart is failing.

Ok measured the new batteries after it stopped running and they measured fine?

Ezgoraider giving him the correct readings would be better than just saying fine. Readings would be like 38.2v pack voltage, 38.2 one side of solenoid the other side 37.4v going to the controller B+.

So I am new here and don't want to hijack the thread but I have a 2003 EZGO PDS that I just bought a few days ago and I am having the same issue. I haven't don't any real trouble shooting other than watering one of the batteries that was low. I trailered it home and the batteries bounced around a little bit so I am not sure if I may have loosened a connection that is preventing a charge or running for more than 10 min. I took voltage readings and there are 5 US Batteries and 1 Trojan 105. The Trojan that is first in the series is reading 6.2 and all the US Batteries are reading 5.8 after charging overnight. I believe the US batteries are newer then the Trojan, previous owner said 2015 batteries. I can't imagine all 5 batteries are bad and the Trojan was a little low on water, so I filled it but that was the one holding the best charge. I am thinking there is a bad connection and that is why the other batteries are not charging past 5.8. I ordered new 2 gauge batteries cables that I plan on installing this weekend. Any suggestions? If this is a no-no thread hijack, let me know or mods can go ahead and delete/move.
