Default Charger plug cable getting hot

Got a 1987 EZGO electric golf cart, put new batteries and cables on it, when plug it up to charge, the cables to the plug in gets hot, is there something wrong with the charger?? Its a Textron 36 volts charger, need help....

Check to see if you don't have any loose connections namely the plug to receptacle fit is too loose it can cause too much heat build up....

If the charger to cart connection is worn it may be intermittent. Sever resistance in an old wire will cause heat too.

Checked the Battery cables and one of them was loose, tighten it up and rechecked them all and it's not getting hot now like it was, but getting warm, thanks teecro, ssottyb, the charger plug looks good, think I need to replace it if it's keeps getting warm??

Warm is ok Hot never is ok.....
