Default Throttle staying wide open 1995 club car gas

My 1995 gas club car throttle is staying wide open even though I disconnected the throttle cable and the butterfly or throttle valve is working fine, I really need help. Its starting to become dangerous!

I've seen it many times on those 95's. Your butterfly is gone in
your carb. A good test is to get hold of the arm that is attatched
to the butterfly and pull up on it. If it comes up, order yourself
a new carb.

The butterfly is still there! I really need help. I can use a screw driver and open and close the butterfly valve It goes from wide open to almost blowing the motor. Is there 2 valves?

There's only one butterfly valve in your carb,
But... I think it's held on by 2 screws,
it may be a possability that one of the screws came out, and is holding your throttle open!

Either take the carb off and inspect it yourself, or take it to an authorized cart mechanic and have them fix it!
but, don't keep running it that way!

my 2 cents

Im going to inspect that second screw. I hope thats the problem. It all started when my governor cable melted. My ground wire going to the engine broke and I guess it used it as a ground. So I disconnected it, and bought a new one. I havent put the new on on yet because its been stuck full throttle.
