Call me. The phone number is on the web site. I was a service manager at a dealer for over a decade. I've been around plenty of chargers. I'd be glad to help you.

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to this topic. So far I have replaced ammeters, rectifiers with double stack diodes, relays, charger wiring and tried multiple carts with no change. No matter what I do (with one exception) can I get the ammeter on these chargers to stop vibrating or reading negative amps while charging.

I have determined that my diode stacks are good and working as they should. Even after trying other types of rectifiers that are rated for 1000 volts and 200 amps just to see what would happen.

I've replaced the ammeters in the chargers with new and from known working chargers.

I've replaced relays (some where not activating properly and it needed to be done while I was in there).

At this point I'm confused and getting pissed... so...

I noticed when I was inside the charger while its running that there is a very strong magnetic field coming from the transformer. After removing the ammeter from the charger and powering up again, the meter was reading about 5 amps (on a totally dead cart) and it wasn't vibrating at all. As I moved the ammeter further away, using longer leads, it started reading 18 amps and super steady.

Any thoughts on this? Is the shielding (if any) failing? Is there an problem with the transformer that will eventually cause failure?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've been asked about this and I have no good answer to give, which I don't like to do. I have just recorded a video and I can upload it to youtube and share the link if that is desired. I show a PD2 vs PD3, PD3 charging with the ammeter removed from the charger and it works normally... thoughts, suggestions??? I'm really starting to bang my head on this one!

Yes post a video. The PD3 works with the ammeter removed but not with the ammeter in place?
