Club Car varying speed at same throttle position
Guys, forgive me for posting a topic that probably has been covered many times. Search brings up so many results that are useless and I don't have time to weed through it all.
My new to me cart, a 2012 Precedent, 6-8V batteries, appears to be an Excell system, upgraded by Club Car to Silver in 2015 according to the sticker 7M1516-XXXXXX. This is not the cart in my Sig. OK, the problem. The cart slows down and speeds up or lunges may be a better description at a constant pedal, especially at low speed. It irritates me very much. I know we have a great number of experts here and I appreciate your advice in troubleshooting. Speed Controller? What say you guys? |

MCOR, press the pedal down 25 times (full throttle let off) and see if it goes away. If so, MCOR is bad. Most common club car issue.

And if it is the MCOR, contact David Hicks at http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com

I don't believe it matters, just make sure cart is in neutral if on. Mine is bad and I do it with key on in Neutral. Doesn't need to be rolling, you are essentially cleaning the contacts inside the MCOR.

I assume that this problem will reoccur sometime in the near future and will continue to occur until I replace the MCOR? |

Re: Club Car varying speed at same throttle position
Yes, mine lasts a few hours if I don't pump the throttle. By tomorrow it's back, I just haven't replaced it because I have a rusted bolt I haven't dealt with. It's a simple Instal if you don't have a rusted bolt.
Remove the floor mat and remove the 4 torques around the pedal assembly and the mcor is there. |
