Disconnect the wires from Controller Terminals #2 and #3.

Set your meter to ohms and measure the resistance from pedal up to pedal down between those 2 wires.

Sergio,
At rest I get 5.14K ohms, as I press the pedal down it goes to 90 ohms when is about 1/4 inch from floor, when I press to floor resistance goes up to about 250 ohms.

If you are using the old CVP throttle the potentiometer may be bad.

According to the 1205M manual, it should have worked on type=1, but just in case your programmer cannot change the throttle type correctly, try re-wiring for type=0.

You will need to use the purple wire and the yellow wire from the throttle (taped the unused wire).

Put the multimeter on those 2 wires and verify you now have at pedal up and 5kΩ at pedal down.

You should not see 0L on the displays as it indicates an Open circuit.

Cart ran fine with OEM controller.
Does purple wire go to terminal 2 or 3 or back to B- ?
Thank you.

Curtis OEM controllers use 3-wire throttles.

According to the 1205M manual, all throttle types are 2-wire rheostat, so only 2 of the wires are used no matter the throttle type selected.

The purple and yellow go on terminals #2 and #3 (any order). The other wire from the throttle remains disconnected and taped.

Verify the resistance reading to make sure the range is correct before plugging the wires on the controller.

Not as much as me.
I had no idea where to go or what to do on this.
It's a scary thing swapping wires around on a controller that's replacing the first one I fried.
I put my trust into Sergio and once again he came thru for a member.
If I ever need someone to stand beside me, I hope it is a man like Sergio.
It is hard to judge a person by their encounters on the web.
But I am passing judgement: Sergio is a good man.
