The Precedent needs a pre-charge resistor or the controller capacitors and Solenoid contacts can get damaged.

Ok so when i install new solenoid, i should also install a pre charge resistor between solenoid post?

Is this at all times even when running or just when testing?

Yes, the pre-charge resistor must be installed with the OEM controller.

Update.

There actually is a pre charge resistor between the posts. When key is off, and a probe is on each side of the solenoid post i get 0 voltage.

The voltage on controller side big post should have a few less volts since the pre-charge resistor will cause a voltage drop.

The best way to measure is to place both meter probes on the solenoid, one in each big post.

Ok so i installed new solenoid and have same exact issue. Will not go over 7mph . when I purchased The mcore I was given the wrong one I have to get a new and mcor and will try that next. Solenoid does not seem to be the issue.

Check your wiring against the diagrams, specially the solenoid to controller B+.

You should have a few volts across the pre-charge resistor when the key is OFF, not 0v.

Seems to be matching the diagram.

Did the cart pass the speed sensor test (push the cart with key OFF)?
