As Scotty said they come preprogrammed but I went into the software and played around with settings that I was comfortable playing with, I got recommendations from the site sponsors and the members of this forum.

I'm new to the golf cart scene, just trying to make sure I don't blow something up. I'm learning more and more, thanks to ya'll here. Totally appreciated.

#12 - The Alltrax is not as expensive as an OEM replacement Curtis controller.

#13 - Both Scottyb and TahoeDawg are site sponsors and sell Alltrax controllers. If you're going to get one, please get one from a site sponsor!

If your talking about just changing the controller on a Precedent and are mechanically inclined it's an easy process. I had an older style resistor cart and completely gutted and replaced the system myself with some help from Scotty. Just go for it.

You don't have to be a computer guru to download the Alltrax toolbox, and plug a printer cord into the controller and a lap top to change the settings.....

Oh yes, after joining this group I will definitely will be making purchases from site sponsors. I feel confident that I can receive truthful info from them and they have already been so helpful.

Good to know, I'm mechanically inclined, I'm hoping to be able to wrench on my own cart because I love to tinker and build stuff. pretty sure I can seek advise from all ya'll here if I run into trouble.
