Are you using a negative wire or ground wire?

Double check the specifications for the panel meter to make sure it works with 48v.

I connected to the black negative wire that is part of the original wiring harness. I get a 50v reading from that point with my multimeter.

Can you check it with your battery pack using jumpers.

That's usually the first thing that I do. Just to check...
What are you using for ground?

I've got the meter working. I ran a new ground wire directly from the battery pack and then pulled 48V from the key switch. The voltage at the panel meter matches my multimeter reading directly from the battery pack.

I still can't understand why the black negative wire that was part of the original wiring harness wouldn't work. It works fine when using the multimeter.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Coming from a common ground is best especially if It's a ground wire run from a ground buss.
Even better is to have that ground or buss ground running from the B-Terminal on your controller.

Thanks for all the info, I have a Volt Meter on order can't wait to get it installed.

I was thinking about making a custom bracket from "ABS" dash type material, looking for a right angle piece of stock that I could customize .... any thoughts??

Thanks again to all
