Yep, you're right about that, just checked EV drives and alltrax websites and they're both showing the 72650.

I'd really like the 800 that's suppose to come out but I may pull the trigger on the 650.

I hope your luck's better than mine if you get one for your new build. Mine is great when it's working right, but it seems to me that they still have a lot of bugs to get worked out. I am only speaking from my experience though, have heard nothing bad from others.

Quick update. Rich at Alltrax says new problem is a variation of the first problem. They will be shipping me out another new controller tomorrow. Unreal.

I installed mine about 3 weeks ago and having the same problem. Sometimes I step on the gas and nothing happens, let off and do it again it takes off. Slowing down does the same thing

I would call Alltrax and tell them what it's doing. They know about this issue. They've sent me my third one, but I haven't installed it yet. Believe it or not, after all these issues, they sent me one programmed for 0-5k instead of its. I'll have to reprogram it before I can even try it out. Unreal. But I'm still trying to get my lift finished and tires back on first. I'll report back when I get it going. Don't hesitate to call them. Talk to Rich. He's the man.

I installed the third SPM last night, and it is doing exactly what the first controller was. It will only read 70% throttle after the initial voyage after resetting the controller. To say I'm disappointed is a major understatement. I'll call alltrax again in the morning and see what they have to say for themselves? I'm not sure they'll get these things figured out for ezgos.

I am really upset about this situation, guys. Can anyone feel my frustration? This problem has been going on for over a month, and I still haven't received a properly working controller. I have spent over 3 grand in my cart with all the upgrades and new batteries, and I have yet to have it running exactly right for more than a week at a time. I'm sorry, but as of this current time, I would have to advise everyone to steer clear of the spm controller for an ezgo until they get this problem figured out. I wish I had just went with a 700 fsip or a 500 axe. Proven models. The spms are wierd. Seems like the first batch worked flawless, and the ones coming on 8 months later are having problems. Sorry guys, just had to vent. My wife and co workers are tired of hearing about it. lol.

Rock, Shoot me an email. Get me up to speed with all that has happened so far. List problems and returns etc. in a chronological order. In a list with Dates if you can.... I will see what I can do.
