Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
I want a people mover/ party wagon to tow behind my cart. I'm not looking for another cart per se.

Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
Well, Got the new body on. Changing the body wasn't bad, sandblasting and painting the chassis wore me out!

Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
Nice work, looks like a new cart. No rivet problems? What gun did you use?

Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
I bought the biggest Arrow gun at Lowe's. It did ok on the smaller rivets, but it would do the larger ones, so just drilled them out and put in stainless bolts.

Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
Great looking JOB!!
I can't wait to finish mine. I have yet to start the rivet part of the rebuild . I saw a thread where someone purchased a pneumatic gun from Northern. I think by the time I rivet, I will want to skip the Popeye arms. |

Re: 94 Medalist body change/rebuild
mgray70, the cart looks great, and btw......
CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

Finally getting around to updating my little build. Since my last post I added a rear seat, reclaimed some old SS hub caps ( didn't turn out half bad for $7 dollars for a can of aluminum paint). Also back at Christmas I was trying to load it on a trailer to take it somewhere and as I was loading it died. Long story short the stock Curtis controller was fried, so I replaced it with a 400 amp Altrax. Still have a long ways to go to get it like I want it.
