Re: Best way for EZGO to haul beach gear
Here is an underneath of my extension. Ran a HF extender with a piece of angle iron on both ends of the extender mounted differently. Flat to the cart and angle fits smooth against the foot rest. Rest is actually stronger now that before. Not sure weight capacity but does great hauling little yard cart and empty 5x10 trailer around. I think I have a total of $30 in it and about 45 minutes including measurements.

Re: Best way for EZGO to haul beach gear
True, but it can handle a couple of chairs and an umbrella. I'd tow the cart with more stuff inside it..

Like that sleepyluke. Elfguy nice looking roof rack. Not sure I have seen one of those. Unfortunately we already had to chop the top to get it in the shed so a roof rack would have to be move constantly taken on or off. Got my coupon clipped for Harbor Freight and hoping to score a nice little trailer and extension.

Cool. Let us know how it works when you get to that part. (not sure how soon your going to HF). I am looking for a used one to get the axle out of to build a pull behind people carrier out of an old cart like a few I have seen on here. good luck :-)

Re: Best way for EZGO to haul beach gear
Rack came from Amazon for about $90. I liked the look over the standard black wire style..

Re: Best way for EZGO to haul beach gear
I carried a queen sized extra thick mattress on my roof for probably a quarter of a mile.

Re: Best way for EZGO to haul beach gear
Hey guys revisiting this issue since I failed miserably last year at doing anything once it got cold. Found something interesting that got the brain bucket firing.
http://www.villagergolftrailers.com/ Love the idea but little rich for my wallet. Thinking of going back to the hitch mounted aluminum cargo carrier and adding a set of these wheels for support. Thinkin I can get out for under a hundy and solve the weight issue that we were worried about above. Like the no jackknifing and don't need the flip up out of the way part. Would be easier to store than a trailer. Only concern is the speed rating for this type of tire. Thanks! |
