My cart used to scrape the bottom of the foot rest with passengers in back, before I put HD springs on it. I'd still be concerned about clearance on mine without a lift and/or bigger tires. Mine are stock.

Kinda depends on the kind of driving you do. What killed me were some driveways and other bumps with sudden changes in slope.
