Cart Not Charging - Charger & Batteries Good
I have a 2006 pds cart, the charger is working fine I have verified that.
When I plug the charger into the cart absolutely nothing happens, no click, no buzz, nothing. Batteries good, cleaned and checked wiring on charge receptacle. The batteries are showing 33.6v at rest through the charge receptacle, cart will run forward and backward. Where would I start looking/checking on the cart? Thx!! Steve |

You could try another charger but sounds like you've tested yours. I think the kick on voltage needs to be over 30 so 33 should be ok. If you have a 12 volt charger put that on 2 batteries and try to plug in the charger to see if it comes on.

Another thing to check is try lifting the charger plug. You have to hold it that way for a few seconds to see if the charger kicks in. If that works, you either have dirty or loose Radsoks, or the plug or port is worn or broken.

Re: Cart Not Charging - Charger & Batteries Good
OR the Reed Switch has gone bad.....thus the charger doesn't know you plugged it into the cart. just bypass it.

I don't think the reed switch affects the charging.
It is just there to keep the cart from moving when the charger is plugged in, or when you are out in the middle of the woods five miles from camp... |

Re: Cart Not Charging - Charger & Batteries Good
If the charger is not turning on, the Auxiliary contact in the charger's plug may not be making good contact with the outside of the negative radsok in the carts charge receptacle.

Re: Cart Not Charging - Charger & Batteries Good
only if he tried in another cart and verified that he actually turned on and started charging, but we don't know that for sure....in the OP he states "When I plug the charger into the cart absolutely nothing happens, no click, no buzz, nothing." not a lot of pertinent data to truly steer him......and he hasn't come back let to offer anymore info.
