RXV Mods
Well I assume there are after market controllers for the RVX, but where?
From what I can tell, upgrading controller and/or motor may not be the best approach as I have seen a few carts locally that just had a gear ratio changed to get 30 mph using stock motor/controller. So I am just curious what is out there for the RXV? |

Re: RXV Mods
I don't believe any controller/motor mod's exist for the RXV.
Higher gears = more speed, yes, available now. I know many people have done it but I would be nervous about this mod... RXV has no "real braking"... all done by the controller and motor brake. I would hate to be running 35-40 mph and find out the braking system was not working! |

Think I will just buy a new CC Villager 2. It is suppose to be a LSV with 25 mph and 4-wheel drum brakes with a suspension. |

Re: RXV Mods
My neighbor has one of these CC Villagers, 4 seater, nice cart/LSV. Check out the EZGO 2Five as well. It's a nice looking LSV and has some good features.

Re: RXV Mods
2five is an rxv lowered 2 inches with 4-wheel hydraulic disk brakes & 25mph. No aftermarket controllers for RXV yet, i think the reason is that no one wants to be responsible for a controller in a cart with no brakes.

Re: RXV Mods
Looking at that also. RXV is off my list. My biggest issue with the LSV is the jacked price for a title and the few whistles LSV come with to be street legal. I don't want it titled, just the basic cart set up for golf. I live in a gated community/lake/course area. We don't need titles because the roads are private, and the road that connects us to the world is a 55 mph two-lane highway.

Re: RXV Mods
Then why spend the extra $ on an LSV? There is nothing wrong with the RXV.. why is it crossed off you list? No real brakes maybe scaring you away?
Look at the TXT/PDS models if you must have "real brakes". They are available in 36 and 48 volt configurations and the controller/motor mod's are easy to find. |
