What speed are you getting now?

Mathematically, with a stock series controller and stock gears (12.44:1) you ought to be getting about 18.5 MPH on 23" tires.
Of course, if they are low pressure tires, or your cables. solenoid, battery pack and F/R switch aren't up to par, it will be slower.

Also, the tire height stamped on the sidewall is notoriously incorrect, so measure the actual height of the tires on your cart.

Upping the pack voltage by 1/3 (IE: increasing it to 48V) will increase your speed by about 1/3 of what it is now, so if it is doing 18.5 now, it will go 24.7 MPH mathematically.

In order to up the pack voltage, you will have to replace the controller, solenoid, battery pack and battery charger. The high current cables will most likely have to be replaced also and F/R switch will probable need to be upgraded.

If 24.7 MPH isn't fast enough, it's motor time.

For over 25 mph you may be barking up the wrong tree. The Series drive carts make more torque than speed. You could get a monster torque motor system adn change to taller gears but why do all that when you can get a PDS cart and hit your target speed with a DCX control and 48v?

You don't even need 48v on a PDS to hit 25 mph! With a DCX500 and 22.5" tires I'm running 26-27 mph with the controller set at 85%. 30+ on a slight downhill. Of course 48v is in my future because the PDS carts give up a lot more speed on the hills than the series carts do.x
