It's hard to tell what's what, those jets aren't marked with a number or anything. I suppose I could look up the Briggs parts diagrams and confirm what part number the jets are, but that doesn't tell me the size.

That would make sense that all the jets would be smaller in the 16 carb.

Hello All,
I may have a dumb question.
I have a xrt 950 with 16hp vanguard, Would a low pressure fuel pump work? Around 1-2 psi.
The compression style pumps keep dieing on mine.

I have Holley Mighty Mites 12-426 in both my carts. In both cases the highly regarded B&S Mikuni pump failed after some time.

I have seen it done, but I always use the factory pumps. Have you replaced the pump and the pulse hose?

I've used the factory style vacuum pump on every big block engine I've used, even the built high performance ones, they work great. I used the same pump on the 16hp version as well as the 23hp version, and even the clone engines and the HF670. Never felt the need for an electric pump.

But if you desire an electric pump, they should work. Some people have routed a smaller diameter return hose back to the fuel tank to avoid over pressurizing the carb needle valve and flooding the engine.

I've replaced the pump twice now.
The pumps stop working when I have fuel going to the carb the engine runs perfectly. I'm stumped
