Re: Battery Upgrade
Here are a few pics of a lithium pack install in a 2012 G29. Pack came from EV Battery Center in Las Vegas. This link is to their DIY packs. I have installed 8 of these packs so far. Four of them in G29's.
http://evbatterycenter.com/HAC4/inde...ing&Itemid=683 1st pic - Pack in battery tray with charger and DC-DC converter 2nd pic - Power side of pack 3rd pic - Pack BMS side and front 4th pic - Pack power side There is a pdf write up attached as well. I make all of the plates from .070 aluminum sheeting. One thing I found out about the G29 when going to lithium. You lose 330lbs from the cart so the rear suspension is very stiff. There is some factory help available in that the G29 Electric YDRE has a much stiffer coil-over shock than the YDRA (gas model) The coil spring diameter is about 3/8" on the Electric and 5/16" on the Gas. Replacing the electric with the gas with each build really helps the ride when going to lithium. IF you want these shocks, they are available very reasonable. They are brand new removed from new carts which were stretched by a Yamaha dealer and needed heavier duty shocks. There are many of these available. |

Re: Battery Upgrade
If you choose to build a pack yourself and would like to have a set of aluminum plates to complete your build. Send me a PM and I will send you more information.
PS: you will need to make several more posts to be able to use the Private Mail system. |

Re: Battery Upgrade
Top Speed: With XCT48400 and stock motor and 21.5" tires 26-27mph
Recharge: 4-6 hrs after full discharge to 50V or less. Run time: With this setup and driving a mile to and from the course, probably 45 holes on the course. That would equate to about 20-25 miles. Cost for DIY kit: About $1400 incl shipping. |

Re: Battery Upgrade
PingEye3, does the $1400 with shipping you stated include the 11A charger, BMS with Wifi and Anderson connectors???
If so, that is an awesome price when comparing to my 8V FLA batteries, 2 AWG cables, DPI charger and miscellaneous wires/connectors I bought last year summed up to around $1200. If I knew then what I do now about lithium, I would've went that route instead. I think you'd be crazy not to. |

Re: Battery Upgrade
NCPW: Yes, it did but though I said it included shipping, I forgot to include the shipping which is Hazmat FedEx Grd. About $150. I could not attach the document below to your PM so I will post it here. This is my personal method.
