runs 2ft..jerks. dead !!
2011 yamaha 1yr old trojan batteries....fully charged 52 volts
turn on the key...solenoid clicks...put in forward...moves 2 ft ..clunk noise like out of gear...after that no click...no movement forward or reverse puzzled on this one...help ( it's my wife's cart !! )  |

Does resetting tow/run switch allow you to repeat this? Is the cart all stock?

CORRECTION...IT IS A 2007 MODEL SAYS YDRE
Cart is completely stock...no mods It will back up 2 ft after resetting tow It will go forward 2 ft after resetting tow when switch is in run if you move the cart just a little solenoid clicks Ran perfect prior to yesterday Just backed it off the trailer...now I have to push it back on and take to the dealer if I can't find out whats wrong. I have a multimeter..should I check the sw under the gas pedal ? Sorry I'm bothering you on a sunday |

I believe this is going to be a severe voltage drop, like a crapped out battery, or bad cable. Put your test leads in the charger port terminals (to monitor battery voltage) then repeat the "2 foot test" again, noting how low the voltage drops as it shuts down.

NAILED IT !! The sum voltage of all batteries= 48.9
BUT the 1st 1275 trojan I tested ( brand new ) was dead on load Can't get a new one till in the morning, but think we got it Appreciate your time and effort sir ! |

This is very similar to the problem I am having, but all my batteries are brand new. I need to test them all and the cables I guess.
