cart not moving
I am new to carting and bought a mid 1980's (I think) Yamaha. I was told it needed new batteries, after replacing batteries the cart will not move. Before replacing the batteries I was able to drive the cart about 30 feet or so and then it would die. It has sat outside and its been raining so I am not sure if the motor has gotten wet or not. I noticed last night that with the cart in forward every once in a while I would get a nice colorful spark coming out of the motor and the cart would jump forward like it wanted to move and then nothing. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Re: cart not moving
Likely a motor problem, like worn out brushes.
