Thumbs down Krylon Roof / Top Paint

I recently painted by white top black with Krylon paint, big mistake! Nightmare, don't do it. The paint is extremely high gloss, scratches like hell and when I did a touch up on it, you'd think I sprayed paint remover on it, it stripped right down to the surface. For prep, I power washed, cleaned with vinegar based surface and scuffed surface. Has anyone used any other paint, maybe truck liner?

I used Krylon Fusion on mine. Satin finish.

No problems so far!

Anytime you do a gloss finish you will have more problems, you had to keep it super clean and do alot of prep or everything will show up. Satin is much easier to work with.

I used Herculiner on mine. Prepped as per directions. No problems so far.
I expect it will fade over time as mentioned in the directions.

I used RUST-OLEUM "Hammered Plastic" on the bottom side of my top and was very impressed with it. It leaves a slightly textered finish, but seems to be very durable and looks good. It may be worth buying one can and put a few coats on something plastic and see what you think. I am pretty sure I got it at Home Depot. I will say it isn't like regular spray paint as far as the finish goes. You just need to shake it very well and put several light coats vs heavy ones and it does take it a while to dry.

Not sure who your asking..... but if your looking for a closeup of the bedliner, it's probably not for you. While it's tough as nails, and looks great from more than a few feet away, it's not particularly appealing closeup.
Take a look at any truck bed. It's uneven & has a texture to it.
I was way more concerned about it resisting scratches & chips than looking great up close.

Did you use Krylon Fusion that is made for plastic or just regular paint? Regular paint won't stick with out some kind of adhesion promoter.
