Default club car / clone question

what is the biggest and best clone motor to install in my 98 club car. and what all will in need i plan on making my own header and mounting bracket. unless i can find a bracket for a reasonable price. thanks

That's a tricky question Mike and very open ended. For starters, there's budget to consider, then what are your plans for the cart; golf course or horse play etc. What are your fabrication skills and do you possess the necessary tools or can you contract work out. The variables are endless. You can run a Hyabusa motor if money is no problem and you want to embarrass porsche drivers, or you can go for a clone like my 16hp which is a nice bump up in power for the golf course and for a lot less cost than a replacement CC motor. Regarding headers, I'm planning on modifying my stock CC muffler to fit the clone but again, if you decide to go with a V-Twin motor there is a lot more involved. Check out the "Big Block" section in these forums and you'll see what I'm driving at. Mild to wild, I'ts all there mate
