Medalist suspension ideas for my 1st build

I'm working on my 1st cart, a gas medalist with no motor. At the moment it's stripped down to a rolling chassis for a cleaning and a coat of Por15. Eventually it will get a long travel suspension, but for this year I'm more interested in getting all the old hardware sorted out and the big upgrade will be a VC 460.

I figure while it's stripped down I should give the suspension a little love. For the rear I'm thinking Monroe air shocks and for the front some EZGO coil overs and leave the leaf springs alone. It will be used to haul things regularly on and off road, but I don't want to build something that beats me up when I'm the only one on it. I'm also thinking about going with some 20in turf tires on the 8in rims, a little more ground clearance would be nice and I can use them on mowers when I upgrade the wheels a tires on the cart.

Any thoughts or better ideas?
