Default 1997 cc ds belt slip

I HAVE 1997 GAS CCDS, FE290CC.
HI EVERYONE, I COULD USE A LITTLE HELP HERE...
(I USE CAPS CAUSE I'M VISUALLY IMPAIRED)
SO... I TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY CART. DROPPED A FORUNE IN IT. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A SIDE BY SIDE lol, BUT THEY DIDNT MAKE THEM WHEN I STARTED!
SO MY CART HAS OVERHEAD LIGHTS AND THE BATTERY KEEPS GOING DEAD: SO, I NOTICED THE BELT SQUEALED LOUDLY AND SLIPPED ON START UP. AS I COULD GET NOTHING MORE OUT OF THE BELT (TIGHTENING), I FIGURED IT NEEDED A NEW BELT... AND WHILE I WAS AT IT, REPLACED THE OLD STARTER/GENERATOR - WHICH HADN'T BEEN REPLACED IN SOME TIME... AND WHY NOT REBUILD THE CLUTCHES? BUT AS I GOT A GIFT CERTIFICATE, I ENDED UP REPLACING THE DRIVE CLUTCH AND REBUILT THE DRIVEN... NEW POWER SPRINGS TO BOOT! THEN I BOUGHT A NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE BELLT! ( SO INVESTMENT: BELT, STARTER/GEN, CLUTCHES, NEW HP BELT)... BUT WHEN I TURNED THE KEY: JUST AS BEFORE (YES THE BELT IS GOING THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND TIGHT AS I CAN POSSIBLY GET IT) THE BELT SLIPS AND SQUEALS!!!
TALK ABOUT PIZZZZZED. AND... JUST LIKE BEFORE, THERE IS STILL ABSOLUTELY NO ADJUSTMENT LEFT ON THE BELT. AND THE BATTERY STILL GOES DEAD (YES, IT COULD USE A NEW DEEP CELL BATTERY BUY IT" S A SMALL CAR BATTERY & HOLDS A CHARGE AND I ONLY HAVE THE TWO FOG LIGHTS OVER AND ABOVE THE OEM CHARGING SYSTEM. AND THE LIGHTS WEREN'T EVEN ON OR SHORTING!... SO...THIS IS THE REASON I REPLACED E-V-E_R_Y_T_H_I_N_G ON THE SYSTEM BESIDES THE REGULATOR/SOLENOD THAT WERE NEW A COUPLE YEARS AGO? THE BELT CAN'T BE TIGHTENED ANY FURTHER! CAN THE MOTOR MOUNTS/ENGINE POSITION BE TOO FAR BACK? CAN IT EVEN BE ADJUSTED? I'm 275! BUT I FREELY ADMIT I AM NO ELECTRICIAN. AM I MISSING SOMETHING? HELP PLEASE...

Is the motor locked up? You can turn the motor by hand by spinning the clutch?
The 97 should have a clockwise rotation motor, is your new SG wired properly for clockwise rotation?

It is possible the belt is too tight. Also possible it’s just the wrong belt. Is it a club car OE belt?
The SG belt should sit down pretty far in the pulley and a lot of aftermarket belts are too wide and don’t sit down far enough in the groove of the pulley. It makes it harder for the SG to spin the motor.

Was the old SG an original Mando unit? Those are the most reliable and least likely to have problems. If you bought an aftermarket SG it’s probably not going to last long.
