Default quick charging question

while im waiting for EMP to send back my motor ive been cruising around on stock motor and ive noticed the pack drains a little more.
my pack has always been decent but the hours you guys charge your carts for seem to be like super long.. i dont think ive charged mine more then 7 maybe 8 hours before

My question is this.. My charger does not have a timer and is a hot charger all the time so i cant really just set it and forget it.. ive seen about 62volts and about 3ish amps but how long should it sit on 62 volts??? cart doesnt have an OBC it goes right from the charge port to the batteries

It's not uncommon for an 8v battery to show over 10v during charging. The rest voltage (approx 12 hours after charging) should be around 8.49v or maybe a bit higher depending on which brand and model of batteries you bought. Most brands, the pack should rest around 50.9v. Some such as US Battery or Crown will rest a bit higher. Trojan tends to rest around 51V in my experience.

If your charger is still running after about 16 hours then you have some reason for concern, because the OBC should time out the charge around 16 hours.
If it was only plugged in for 8-10 hours and it was down to 5 amps, it was probably pretty close to finishing the charge. Plug it back in and keep an eye on it, but let it finish charging on its own. Chances are its doing what its supposed to

I think FT pretty much summed it up above.

You need a smart charger that works without an OBC. Anything else you will just be guessing all the time with what you are using.

If it has not been being fully charged, that's probably the cause of the weaker batteries.

well the pack at rest usually sits pretty high at about 52.4 .. so it should be getting a full charge but i was just curious at how long it should be sitting on 62-63 volts.. hour or so?

Not have you charged it for 12 hours. Have you checked the voltage 12 hours AFTER you charged it?
