Club car 48 volt V-glide electrical help needed

Good Morning,

I am trying to help a friend get his cart up and running. He has a late 90’s 48 volt club car DS V-glide. The cart sat for over a year and the batteries would not take a charge. We replaced the batteries and did not get anything but the reverse buzzer and head lights working. My friend had a mobile golf cart repair man come because he needed to get the cart up and running ASAP for an event however he was not successful. I was not there when he came but I was told he seemed to be a little unfamiliar with the older cart v-glide set up. He told my friend that he tested the V-glide and that checked out but he thinks it needs a new controller which he didn’t have. Well fast forward a couple
Months we got a new controller installed and now maybe every 2nd or 3rd push of the Accelerator Pedal the cart will move very slightly and then stop. Same thing in forward and reverse. Prior to changing out the controller it would not
Move at all no response what so ever. Any help in where I should start would be greatly appreciated.

Does the solenoid click when you press the accelerator?

As Tahoe said. It sounds like the movement you are seeing is only the energy discharge from the capacitors via the resistor. You need to get the meter on solenoid and verify it is closed in if you hear it activate.
