2011 precedent charging issues
2011 precedent motor, controller, solenoid, f/r, wire upgrade. Cart runs great! Issue...when I plugged my charger back in, nothing! No click, no nothing. Charger worked perfect before. I grounded Blk/Gry wire from receptacle to - on Battery. Charger came on immediately. But I don't want to worry about unplugging the charger every time. Does this mean my OBC is bad, or do I have some wires jacked up somewhere? Thanks, new member, first post

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
When you changed your wires, did you reconnect the red wire from the charger receptacle to pack positive..

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
Have seen the lockout get that way on upgrades, try connecting it back to normal, then unplug the 6-pin connector at the OBC. On the carts harness side, install a jumper between the Blue wire and the White wire.
Then try it again. If it works, you are good, you will just not have the lockout on your new controller. If it does not, unless there is a miswiring, your OBC has failed and you can upgrade to a new Summit II |

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
If the charger worked by just jumping the negative than the positive wire is connected properly to the pack.
If the cart is driving the OBC is working and providing the lockout signal. My guess is that the gray wire quick connect came loose from the back of the OBC. |

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
Thanks guys, Yes, the red wire is good and charger coming on.The cart is running great in all aspects. I previously pulled on all 3 wires from receptacle and none came out. Though they all 3 felt like they had some play in them. Normal?? I might hook the blk/gry back up to a new receptacle, and see if that might be the issue, that would be cheaper and easier than a new OBC right now. I've been reading about resets....is there a obc reset that I would need to do. I appreciate all the suggestions. BTW, hats off to Revolution golf for the upgrade parts.

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
If You don't have those wires from the receptacle connected to the OBC the charger will never stop by itself.
Connect them back where they belong and try to charge. If it does not work, measure the voltage on the cart receptacle. + socket to - socket. To reset the OBC all you have to do is leave the battery pack disconnected for more than 20 minutes. |

Thanks Sergio, will let you know how that goes. Are you a sponser, or have a parts supply company here? I just want to support those helping us out.

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
Make sure the Negative wire from the OBC is connected to the B- terminal of the controller.
If you upgraded the main battery cables at the same time, that negative may have been unplugged or removed. |

Re: 2011 precedent charging issues
Thanks for all the suggestions. Grey wire was loose in back of OBC. Already purchased a new receptacle, so installed and charging coming on like normal. More you read on this forum, the more you learn. Thanks again! Camo wrapping for the next project
