Default Is 12 gauge Speaker wire okay to install horn

We have a 2014 ezgo 48volt txt,

My sister ordered some 12 gauge wire to do some golf cart mods but she bought audio wire.
See specs below.

She wants a horn installed directly to battery which will have 16 Volts. And a rocker panel in the dash for USB charging, light control, battery gauge etc. The rocker gang panel will be connected to the reducer.

Is this wire okay to use or should I purchase awg wiring.
The specs seem to show that it would be okay. But not sure.

The only thing to worry about is heat. Speaker wire insulation is generally weaker than regular wire. For a horn and a USB charger I don't think you will have any issues.
Horn is short busts of energy and USB chargers are not big amp draw.

Edit: Use appropriately sized inline fuses at the Battery Side, so if there is a problem the fuse blows before anything melts.
Your local Hardware store will have Lamp Cord usually buy by the foot or a spool, it is very similar to speaker wire but better insulation. Still use the fuses.

As long as amp draw is no more or lesser then what wire is rated for should be fine.
My personal rule of thumb is add inline fuse for every accessory added.
12 gage amp draw should be fine, but just me would use something like trailer wiring opposed to speaker wire due to insulating properties, but both will work 👍

12ga is plenty for a typical horn, wire handles 20a. You really need to know specs on the horn button you're using is rated for, they very well may be rated for low current which means you'll need to install a relay.
