Its Alive!
It has been a good day.
I wired up the SOC indicator and installed the fronnt cowl of the Doubletake body with the new headlights. I finished wiring up the 12 volt reducer and verified all the lights functioned. I jacked up the cart onto jackstands and removed the rear tires. Less rotating mass. I then connected the B+ to the system. I hooked up my PC to the Alltrax and opened up the software. I turned on the keyswitch and shifted to reverse. Nothing. Not even any reverse buzzer. The software indicated voltage to the controller. I pressed the fun pedal and the software indicated the ITS was functioning. The solenoid clicked. I had the reverse speed turned way down so I increased the setting and then the hubs turned. Nice. I had the buzzer wired backwards. Switched to forward and pressed the fun pedal. Hubs spin! Yay! Put the tires on and torqued all the lugs. Went for a spin. The FN1 switch controls the output very well. I made a few short trips around the block and eventually had the Alltrax set in a good place. The wife got home from grocery shopping and we went for a long cruise around the subdivision for around an hour or so.The cart is flawless. I am happy. Got home and shot the motor skin temp. 177 degF. This lithium setup is great. Thanks to everyone who helped me through this process. My next upgrade is to get rid of the FnR switch and go with a contactor. This is a great forum. Added pics |
