Default Replacing F-R switch on precedent - do I need Heavy Duty?

Hi again. Showing my ignorance in terms of my 2010 Precedent wiring. Have just upgraded to Navitas 5KW controller/motor. F-R switch has been sticky for a while and post installation I now I get a quiet (but audible) reverse buzz in Forward which is annoying. I think I need a new F-R switch. Not sure how much current flows through the F-R and whether it needs to be HD or not? Can’t seem to find an HD one on amazon or eBay which are my normal go-tos. Many thanks.

Very little current goes through that switch. All the "work" is done inside the controller. That switch just tells the controller which direction you wish to go. I don't believe there is a heavy duty version of that switch. If you're hearing the reverse beeper there is probably some other wiring issue. That beeper is also activated through the controller, not directly by the switch.

The F/R switch for Navitas is just a basic common SPDT switch, single pole double throw with center off. I second what meimk said re-check all your wiring. Never did one on a precedent but the Navitas install is pretty simple. sme of your wiring sounds messed up.
