Default 03 48 volt DS POP Noise Now Cart Inop.

Good day,
Thanks for any input. I went for a ride last night in the woods looking to see what kind of wildlife I could see with roof mounted light bar. I would drive in the dark, then stop and turn the light on. After an hour of doing this I was ready to go home. I had about a 1/4 mile to go and I decided to just leave the led light on. My batteries are kinda getting old? I have a 700 Amp fsip controller. I pushed it pretty hard and then I heard a pop from behind me and could smell something burnt a little. Cart is dead. I noticed my digital battery reader did drop to 35 volts? Pushing up the hill. The charger won't come on now and cart does nothing. I think I fried controller with the big draw sending low voltage. Ist time ever running that hard with led lights on and batteries not fully charged? I think I've got a bad battery anyways..what do you think I did?? It has 25" tires. Thanks

That pop was probably a cap or a FET in the controller letting out the magic smoke. When voltage drops bad things happen. I’d say it’s probably gonna be time for a new controller.
