2010 ezgo txt with alltrax controller cutting out
Have a 2010 txt with brand new 300 amp Alltrax controller. Had an issue where it would move just a little and then would cut out. If hot throttle to fast would cut out. I played with settings on controller with no luck. In the Alltrax toolkit I chose to set the controller to factory settings. Now the cart does nothing. Any ideas?

You need the correct throttle type setting for your cart and the proper field map for your motor. If you need help, contact Alltrax support. They will work with you to debug it. Setting to factory defaults probably set the wrong throttle type.

I will update the throttle, I thought that may be my issues. the other issue may be something with the motor mapping as I read further. I have sent a message to Alltrax support also about this and will see where it goes.

Re: 2010 ezgo txt with alltrax controller cutting out
This sounds a lot like an issue I had. Turned out to be an overvoltage shut down issue. What happened was the controller was incorrectly reading battery voltage coming in. Bad controller... it happens. Finally figured it out by disconnecting everything from the controller except the computer, basically a bench test. Turns out it was showing 24 volts coming from the batteries with no batteries connected. Add to that the batteries themselves , and it would shut down within seconds. I contacted Alltrax and they agreed it was a bad controller but wanted to confirm. I sent it to them and within a few weeks, they sent me a new controller. Im my case, problem solved.
Curious tho, will your cart run if you let the batteries dissipate a week or two? Mine would if the pack voltage was low enough. Very frustrating for the cart not to run after a charge tho. And what I found with upping the voltage limit in the tool kit was in my case, it worked for a while but progressively got worse where it wouldnt run at max setting. Anyway, hope this helps. Good luck. Alltrax was a pleasure to work with, so there's that |
