Default electric to gas conversion

im looking to convert my 87 ezgo golf cart to a gas motor... i was wondering if i need a certain type of motor or could i use almost any kind of engine. would it be hard? how much time? please tell what kinds of motors i could use

Got the money, any engine would be able to go in there.....maybe a small block Ford....lol

I was working on putting a 1000cc Gold Wing motor in a friends cart in Az. Had to quit when he sold the engine one day.....

Might be cheaper to just find a gas cart.

Do yourself a favor and do a quick search on this site on the topic. I only know of 2 that have been successfully completed and they both required significant fab work.

I'm in the process of doing it with a 6.5hp clone. I've got about $400 in it total including the cart. Not done yet but I have already driven it. check out the thread in clone swaps! I'm also using the stock sparky axle.
