I checked out Crutchfield and you're right. they are a bit pricey. Hopefully, someone who added a AUX port will respond as to how they did it.

I picked up a Jensen ms2013btr radio. It's made for a boat it has a lot of nice things that works graet for a golf cart.

they have FM transmitters that will work on your iPod and broadcast signal on a standard radio channel. I just put in a cigarette lighter and plug it in that's what I use. when the head unit breaks I will get one with an auxiliary port though

I have a Clarion DB625MP that I got on ebay. Works great so I figured I would just add an AUX port somewhere on my cart and tie it in to the radio. I saw on youtube someone had done this by adding a port and connecting it to the CD wires. Unfortunately I can't seem to find that video again. Secondly, I don't have a wiring diagram that shows which pins I would need to connect the AUX port to.

One other thing...
I read that those Transmitters that you hook up to your ipod don't work very well. A lot of complaints on the web. |
