Re: 84 DS Air Cleaner cannister fabrication progress
I'd imagine it was done my one of the mods in order to keep the thread small and easy to understand (since it is about fabing an air canister)

Re: 84 DS Air Cleaner cannister fabrication progress
I can bring all of it back!
but, sp_clark did such a great job fabbing his own canister that it seemed shameful that it got "a bit" highjacked. Yes/No? |

I rather enjoy and often learn from thread-drift. IMO posts should remain unless the originator believes it became offensive.
Just my $.02, and obviously, I'm not a moderator. |

I spent a decent amount of time creating my (now deleted) posts to try and shed some light on options for completing the rest of the air intake back up to the choke, elaborating on some possible pitfalls with using intake parts from different model carts. I could easily see someone with an incomplete air intake finding the original, unedited thread quite useful. |

Re: 84 DS Air Cleaner cannister fabrication progress
The votes are in, and it's 50/50 right down the middle!
I don't agree with hijacking or "thread-drift", because great info gets buried in a "somewhat relative" thread, and its harder for a future reader searching for: "Will a Precedent air box work on a KF82?", when a new thread could easily be started on it! All restored... Carry on! |

Re: 84 DS Air Cleaner cannister fabrication progress
Hi everyone...just came back to this thread and realized there were a lot of posts I hadn't seen....and apparently some I still can't . The finished canister et/al works great. Cart starts super easy now. I will be posting another thread however about how something (I think) let go in the motor last weekend. Pulled the motor out and will be investigating. Thanks for all the positive comments.
