2003 ds club lift questions
I have purchased a 6" jakes spindle lift for my 48v electric cart. I am going to put 22" or 23" tires on 10" rims as my project develops. I ride mostly up and down a flat private lane but would like maybe to do some light off road riding. I am a novice to carting and would appreciate suggestions for other mods that may contribute to durability and trouble free operation. I am temp controled for storage ang keep it on a float when not in use.

In terms of durability and trouble free operation, you took the first correct steps in getting the lift kit. Will give you extra clearance. I personally like the way 12' rims look on 22's or 23's but of course that's a matter of personal choice. Jake's kit offers the strongest spindles so they are very durable. What type of mods are you looking for? Do you need more torque for going up hills, more top speed? In regards to contributing to trouble free operation, staying stock is probably the most trouble free that your gonna get. Maybe you might want to change differential oil for starters and go with a good 30w oil. I got good results with synthetic. Lubricate front end and keep battery water levels full and never run batteries under 50% to ensure proper life span. I would familiarize yourself with the threads and research specific subject matters under the search option up top and of course ask questions....

Re: 2003 ds club lift questions
Sounds like a voice from experience. I have been advised to keep my Harley stock for the same reasons. I don't expect tall stories or anything else from mere mortal improvements. Just want to draw from folks like you who have walked the mile. Me and my little princess of a grand daughter will benefit from any input that is offered. A setting sun or just the sounds from cracking acorns is all it takes to add to the enjoyment. Fun is good...

I have the same cart you do a 2003 with a jakes lift and 22 inch tires and it an IQ car.I put a back seat on it this year and with 4 people on board It went through about 8-10 inches of fresh cornfield mud right beside a bunch of 4-wheelers with 1 person on them.I was doing good all day and people were saying to me that they were impressed a electric car would do all that. OH WELL,

JFK! I have joined ( U.S Navy) and contributed to our country. Much more needs to be done. We can all make a contribution in our own way! Don't be bashful. Take a stand in your own way...make a difference!
