Default Buying a Yammahamma Drive

Im getting ready to buy a new to me gas powered Drive . I've had electric Yamaha's for 10 yrs and am ready to try something new. My plan is to by a plane jane cart and build it up to my spec. Any problem areas or issues i need to be aware of or on the look out for when I inspect a cart?

Thanks,
Vic

My personal opinion....don't like the 2007 to 2012's. Bad Team clutch's and pedal assembly. 2012.5 and up have better clutch's and a pedal assembly that works well

On my 2011 YDRA it came with the new JW8 drive clutch and I replaced the driven clutch with the new JW8 and a J55 shorter belt. I like the feel and performance of the new clutch setup. I haven't had any problems with the pedal assembly on my cart. A common complaint with the carburetor equipped models is to make sure the throttle butterfly closes all the way when you let off the gas to prevent backfiring. This can happen when the governor is tied back and with re-jetting. Good Luck.
