Default 36 Volt to Lithium, 2 questions

Guys, I am a new member here, and need a little help. I have a 2006 EZ-GO (TXT)I assume. I and a friend removed all 6 of my Trojan 6v batteries last week, and I did not see which cable was hot and which was ground. Both cables are black, and identical going onto the bottom of the controler. How can I determin the + and -?
Also, what other wires coming from the dash of the Cart will go directly to the New Lithium? I see about 3 wires coming from the front to the battery location.
I bought 1 36 Volt Lithium with charger and LED INfo panel.

it would be best if you would post some pictures of the F/R switch and the controller. And just a tip, always take pictures. Before you start tearing things apart and label the wires with painters tape.

I completely understand about taking pictures, I think my buddy I was giving my 6 volts batteries to just got ahead of me, lol.
The RED wire is actually coming from the harness from the back of the cart. the fused wire is coming from the front of the cart.
And thanks for any input or help, I do appreciate it.

Since you didn’t post a picture of your controller it’s hard to say. Do the 2 large gauge wires both go to the controller? If they both go to the controller, they should be marked + and-. This could be a DCS, PDS or series cart and all are wired differently so without additional information, it’s hard to help. I would suggest you find a wiring schematic for your cart.

Here we go. The red wire has a white tag on it and comes from the rear in the harness. I assume this should go to the + Bat?
Also, the fused wire from the front of the cart is actually 2 wires made together.
And again, thanks for any help here.
I bought this golf cart about 4 years ago for my Farther who was disabled. He died a few months ago so I brought the golf cart home thinking I would use it at the camp grounds. I wanted to loose weight so I decided to go to a Lithium.
So the questions are

1. Both Bat cables are identical, no markings?
2. Red wire with the white tag from harness rear,,,, Bat+ ?
3. Fused with from the front of cart? Actually 2 wires, one looks like it was not used?

The I D label you can't read. I know it's not a series cart because it has a run/tow switch. Remove the black cover with the switch, that will reveal the controller. Look on top of the controller and see if one cable goes to the + and the other to the -. The little wires I can't tell you because it has not been determined what model you have.

And don't assume anything because you could blow your controller.

ok guys, 1 last thing I need to know.
I removed the cover and figured out the Hot and Negitive cables. Also, the 2 loose wires from the front of the cart are not needed, they was used on a aftermarket piece.
NOW, I need to know about the RED wire with the white lable on it. It comes from the harnes and from the rear. What is it used for? Maybe something to do with the old charger port when charging. Should it go to the B+? I am almost there ready to drop in the Lithium and see what I have.
Red wire is posted in Attachments.

New info,
The wire I am asking about would have ran to the back side of the charging port.
I have removed the charging port to install the new lithium. What do I do with this wire now and what is it for?
