Default confused

I bought what I thought was a 1982 g1 golf cart.now i find the serial numbers on it says its a 1985.the parts I have bought so far were for a 1982. Is there much diffrence between the two.The parts I have bought so far are cylinder gaskets[had the jug bored out 25 over,]new piston, tune up kit[air cleaner, sparkplug and fuel filter.it will run in reverse but not forward.are the celinoids interchangeable?

I believe the G1's are the same as far as those parts you mentioned. The solenoids share the same P/N so they can be swapped. If you need solenoids I've got 4 here. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...id-yamaha.html

82's (J17) were a 1 year low compression engine. The cylinder/reeds/manifold/carb were differant then all other model year G1's. All the parts you bought will work fine on your cart 1982 and up solenoids are the same, yes you can switch them. good luck on your project.
