columbia has no reverse

i picked up a Columbia par car and the reverse doesn't work. i thought is could be a solenoid, but there is 5 of them. im looking for any advice i can get. im mechanically inclined but new to the biggie world it is a 1988, that might be helpful.

I don't know those 5 solenoid Columbias at all but, in a general sense, if you switch the forward / reverse leads on the key switch you can at least narrow down the issue to the switch or now. If you swap the leads at he switch and your cart now works in reverse but not forward then it's likely that the switch is bad.

Your manual should be there and I would imagine that it would be helpful

If it works in forward but not reverse, it’s not any of the solenoids... it’ll be in the F&R switch, could be one of the micro switches in the switch. You can swap the wires at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock and the cart should run in reverse but not forward. Check the micro switches for continuity (that they work) I highly doubt it is the F&R contacts.
