Default 2018 Drive 2 PTV whining noise

Our PTV has developed a whining noise from the rear end. It is not very loud, but audible at low speed. I cannot detect exactly where it is coming from.

The cart is used 95% street and 5% gravel road or open field. Never abused. We do some 25 mile cruises on hilly pave back roads.

Any ideas?

Under certain operating conditions, some vehicles equipped with an Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) system may exhibit an excessive operating sound coming from the area of the transaxle.
Yamaha has designed a kit to cure this problem.
If you give me your serial number I can check and see if yours qualifies for the retrofit.

Your serial number shows as invalid. (even with the "O" changed to a "0")
I still believe that you need the retrofit. Contact your local Yamaha dealer.

I reconfirmed the number I posted is what is on the white bar code tag on the engine. I hope this is the serial number.

I found another tag J0D 105094

Your car, Serial #J0D-105094 has one recall and one service bulletin.

Call your local dealer and get the accelerator spring recall and the stiffener plate work done.
