Default G1 Boost bottle

Does anyone know the direction the check valve should be for the boost bottle?

Mine is an 86 I believe, I've read the older ones did not have a boost bottle. Wondering if I should delete it or not. Suggestions?

I never had one on any of my G1's. Ran fine, tons of power.

To those advocating removal, why, what reason? I've never seen the boost bottle cause harm or problems. And, it's supposed to widen the torque curve (which is a nice thing). Why remove something that's not causing problems, just because some earlier models didnt have it? Early model cars didnt have heaters & radios, but you dont see everyone removing them because earlier models didnt have them.

my only reason was if he had defective parts or missing them. ive seen the boost bottles come up several times but i dont think ive ever seen the "check valve" hose. just tough finding some of the parts these days.

can you verify if there is supposed to be a "check valve" in the mentioned hose. ive got several of these and none seem to contain an actual valve
