'01 Club Car won't run!
I have an '01 Club Car that won't run. I have soaked and cleaned the carb and fuel pump(idea I got from you guys advise on here). Tried to start it with the airbox lid open and no luck. Replaced the spark plug. If you get it to crank, it will run for 30 secs or so wide open and then cut off. I took the rev limiter off a couple of years ago and have been running it with no problem until now. Help please!

Re: '01 Club Car won't run!
Just went back up to my shop and looked at my golf cart again. Pinched the hose come from beside the valve cover and it started. Ran like a champ. Got across the yard and it shutt off ahain. It has to be something electrical I guess. I read something about the ignitor. My must be working intermittantly.

hello, if you put a spark tester between the plug wire and plug you can run it and see if it is ignition or not. if it is disconnect the kill wire at the engine this will seperate it from the switches, if it runs normal then you know its not at the engine and further down the line.

Re: '01 Club Car won't run!
Got my club car running. I am no carb guy but i knew I had a fuel prblem. After cleaning the carb and fuel pump twice, I put it all back together. It would run at half throttle and cut out at full throttle. I adj, the screw on the motor end of the carb and it took off running. I guess whatever was stuck in there turned loose. Running like a champ now.
