Default V-twin oil pump?

These v-twins have an oil cooler so I'm assuming they have some sort of pump.
But I also know they are splash lubricated so maybe it's not a positive displacement pump. Does anyone know what kind of pressure or flow it's capable of?

The reason I ask is because I want to put a temperature sensor inline so I'm going to have to build a little manifold with fittings that the oil goes through. And while I was at it, I was thinking of maybe making it into a small reservoir to increase the oil capacity. I don't know if it's necessary but I figure it couldn't hurt. But the last thing I want to do is inhibit the oil circulation.

Thoughts?

Most higher end small engines have an oil pump.

I believe the vangaurd series v-twins use a positive displacement gerotor pump, and I know the Zongshen 625 big block also employs this style pump.

The HF 670 also uses that type of pump. A GUESS would be the 713 does also but I could not find where a 713 was torn down.

I found what seems to be the parts manual for the Duromax 713 -- embedded in the owners manual for a Westinghouse WGen12000DF generator.

It shows an oil pump but doesn't have a breakdown of it. The picture of the pump on the diagram is low-rez and fuzzy but it does seem to have the same gear that I can see in the Honda parts manual, so I'm going to assume it is also a positive displacement pump.
