Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
Yea scotthe - I was thinking of building a console also and mount it to the roof. What did you use? Wood? Pictures please!! I've gone through almost every thread on the stereo section of the forum and haven't seen anyone build a wood console. I am torn between building one or buying one of these plastic pre-made consoles off the net.

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
I did finishing building and installing the wood console and speakers. Excuse the bad photos but all I have. The console blends in with the cabinets in my garage. I've had the cart out on the course for a few rounds of golf and am really happy with the set up so far. Thanks for everyone's help!

I love your set up of your stereo, nice idea with putting the speakers in the motor cover... I am trying to figure out how to wire the whole thing... You said you used the wires from the ignition switch? Can you explain this in more detail?? any help would be apreciated! :) |

Re: '03 G22A Stereo Wiring
Metro,
On the back side of the key switch is 1) constant power in, wire from battery. and 2) switched power out, only has power when the key is in the "on" position. I wire the yellow, (constant power) from the stereo to the constant on the back of the key switch. I wired the red (switched power) from the stereo to the switched power on the key switch. I put in-line fuses in both these lines. You have to run the grouns wire back to the battery. Yamahas dont like frame graonds and will blow the main 10 amp fuse. Good luck |
